גדל בשכונת אחוזה בחיפה. למד בישיבה התיכונית "יבנה" חיפה. לאחר מכן, למד בישיבה ההסדר נהריה ובכולל רבנות שם. השלים הסמכה לרב איזורי, וכמו כן למד תקופה קצרה בכולל דיינות בחיפה.
בעל תואר ראשון ושני בחינוך.

בית הכנסת נוסד לפני כ 30 שנה על ידי קבוצה קטנה של מתפללים בשכונה. מעבר לתפילות הקבועות, מתקיים שיעור רועה רוחני בימי רביעי בבית הכנסת ישראל יאיר וכן כולל בוקר בימי שני
