The Barkai rabbis were treated to four recent lectures by visiting rabbis. The first was given by Rabbi Ephraim Epstein who serves Congregation Sons of Israel in Cherry Hill, NJ. The second was given by Rabbi Yosef Adler of Congregation Rinat Yisrael in Teaneck. NJ American born and bred Rabbi Yitzchok Elefant, Chief Rabbi of Dimona, gave the third talk. The fourth talk was given by Rabbi Steven Pruzansky of Congregation Bnai Yeshurun in Teaneck, NJ The four rabbis spoke about challenges and opportunities in the pulpit communal rabbinate. The Barkai rabbis had an opportunity to ask many questions and to engage the speakers about many of their own challenges.
