At the conclusion of two years of intensive study the Barkai Rabbinic Fellows will conclude their studies at the Barkai Center.  This conclusion will be marked by a festive ceremony in Modiin on Sunday, June 17.  The graduating rabbis will receive their Ordination for the Community Rabbinate signed by Rabbi Israel Meir Lau.  Rabbi Lau and other public figures will honor the graduation with their presence.  Of course the rabbis will continue to attend Barkai next year at the alumni sessions that occur monthly.

Additionally, at the ceremony, the Barkai Prize will be awarded in three categories: Rabbinic Achievement, Community Excellence and Distinguished Gabbai/Synagogue Lay Leader.  In order to nominate for the prizes please click here.

The Barkai Center for Practical Rabbinics aims to improve the fabric of Israeli society by intensively training Israeli rabbis in all aspects of communal rabbinics so that they can lead their communities to a more meaningful connection with Judaism and act as a unifying force in Israeli society.
