nl3The third class of Rabbis at the Barkai Center just completed, right after Passover, a course in Jewish Life Coaching given by Mati Wexler, founder of the Kavanah College of Coaching located in Jerusalem. The rabbis received certificates from Kavanah College. The course dealt with XXXX a deep understanding of the soul of a person, what motivates it and how one unites the different "worlds" that are within us: desire, intellect, emotion, imagination and spirituality. Out of this understanding emerges a purposeful and simple approach to behaving with joy. The rabbis studied this approach out of a sense of strong desire that these skills would help them assist those that turn to them. We wish the rabbis great success in actualizing the skills that they acquired in this course in their communal leadership.

The Barkai Center for Practical Rabbinics aims to improve the fabric of Israeli society by intensively training Israeli rabbis in all aspects of communal rabbinics so that they can lead their communities to a more meaningful connection with Judaism and act as a unifying force in Israeli society.
