Hours of Training

In recent months, the Barkai Center conducted three workshops for rabbaniot, the wives of community rabbis, aimed at strengthening the relationship between the rabbis and their wives.

The first workshop focused on the art of preliminary contemplation, the chance to take a step back from the hectic pace of day-to-day life and focus on the good as well as specific points of difficulty.

The second and third workshops were facilitated by Rachel Yinon, a couples therapist and life coach. Rachel presented four different stages of the essence of femininity and demonstrated how each stage prompts a complementary male response. After this presentation, the women learned different techniques for identifying another’s needs and implementing effective communication.

The Barkai Center for Practical Rabbinics aims to improve the fabric of Israeli society by intensively training Israeli rabbis in all aspects of communal rabbinics so that they can lead their communities to a more meaningful connection with Judaism and act as a unifying force in Israeli society.
